Area Wide Revival/Youth Crusade

The 2009 Area Wide Revival and Youth Crusade is May 15-16 at Northwood High School. There will be food beginning at 6 p.m. both nights. The event starts at 7 p.m. Roger Williams and the “All Mixed Up Quartet” will be back this year. Roger Williams will be speaking this year.

Area Wide Crusade: Embracing Our Community

Everyone is invited to attend this year’s Area Wide Crusade. This crusade has a rich history in our community. This will be the 31st consecutive year of meetings. This year’s Crusade promises to be different from the past in that there will be four different speakers during the course of the week. Each night there will be recognition to special groups within our community as we seek to “Embrace our Community.”

Preschool and Elementary ages will enjoy KIDMO a children’s ministry of Main Street Christian Church (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday).

Sunday Night is youth night. Rev. Jason Roe, conference Evangelist and the Praise Band from Fairview UMC will lead our Program. Laken Loupe recent Saltville Idol winner will be binging special music.

Area Wide Crusade: Public Servant Night

Monday night will be Public Servant Night. If you serve in the community through law enforcement, fire department, rescue squad, heath care, town employee, this is your night! We want to honor you. Our speaker will be Chaplain Gregory R. Czerniak from the Staunton, Virginia Police Department. He is also Chaplain with the Augusta County Fire Department and Minister with the Staunton Church of Christ. Wendy Boyd will be bringing music on Monday evening.

Tuesday night is Education Night. If you are a teacher, administrator, bus driver, cafeteria worker, Maintenance worker, this is your night! We want to honor you. Rev. Scott Spence will be speaking on Tuesday evening. Scott ministers with the Mahanaiam and Blackwell’s United Methodist Churches.

Wednesday night is designated Church Leader Night. If you are a church Elder, Deacon Trustee, Christian Ed Direction, any leadership role in the Church, this is your night! We want to honor you. Rev. Neville Mozingo will be our Speaker on Wednesday. Rev. Mozingo is the Chaplain with the Smyth County Community Hospital. Stan and Kim Dunham will be bringing special music.
